Itinerary

You start your Rajasthan honeymoon itinerary when you step into Jaipur. This beautiful city is called the Pink City. It was painted terracotta pink to welcome the Prince of Wales in Jaipur. This colour symbolises warmth and gratitude. In the same way, it welcomes you and your partner today!

  • Your local tour representative will meet you at the airport/railway station.
  • Then, they will drop you off at the hotel. Unpack and rest for a little bit.
  • The first stop of the day is Hawa Mahal. This palace is famous for its honeycombed jharokas. It was built so that royal women could view the local streets without being noticed. Today, tourists from around the world come to take stunning photographs at this location.
  • Go inside Hawal Mahal to explore its expansive courtyards. The Palace of Winds has one of the best stories of the Pink City’s past.
  • After that, you will go to the old bazaars of Jaipur. You can shop at places like Johri Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar. You will find colourful textiles, astonishing jewelry, and detailed handicrafts. Keep in mind that Jaipur is the gemstone capital of the world. Hence, they have some of the most exquisite jewelry pieces all over.
  • Then, we will head to Jal Mahal. It is a palace in the center of Man Sagar Lake. Visitors are not allowed inside the Water Palace but can view it from a distance. Tourists come here to take the most beautiful photos of the palace. It feels right out of a scene from a royal movie.
  • Then, you will go back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Jaipur has so much to see that one day does not feel enough. Luckily, the trip has been planned in such a way that you will explore Jaipur’s most famous tourist attractions in two days! Today, you will explore sights like Amber Fort, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar. Wear comfortable shoes so you can travel with ease.

  • Wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning.
  • The first stop of the day is Amber Fort. This location is on a hilltop and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is featured in movies such as The Dark Knight Rises, Jodha Akbar, and Bajirao Mastani. In fact, a lot of Aishwarya Rai’s scenes from Jodha Akbar were shot in Amber Fort’s Sheesh Mahal. Also, the pit scene from The Dark Knight Rises was filmed here!
  • After that, we will go to the City Palace. This palace is partially open to the public and partially still the residence of Jaipur’s royal family. You can walk through its beautiful courtyards. Also, explore the museum that stores royal artifacts and ancient weaponry.
  • A fun fact is that many movies and shows have been filmed here. This includes Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Netflix’s The Royals.
  • Then, we will head to Jantar Mantar. It is next to the City Palace and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has one of the largest stone sundials in the world. It was used to measure time, predict eclipses, and more.
  • Go back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Today, we will travel from the Pink City to the Lake City of Rajasthan. Expect to visit one of the most famous temples of India before you depart the Gulabi Nagri. When you reach Udaipur, you will feel romance in the air itself. Enjoy a boat ride and the beautiful sights.

  • Wake up on time and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
  • Check out of the hotel you are staying in.
  • Before you leave Jaipur, you will visit Govind Devji Temple. It lies in the middle of the city, and Lord Krishna’s murti is inside it. Originally, this murti was located in Vrindavan. It was relocated when the Mughals attacked the Brij district. Legend has it that this depiction of Lord Krishna is the closest to his real-life childhood appearance. Take the blessings of Govind Devji and click some breathtaking photographs.
  • From there, we will go on a road trip from Jaipur to Udaipur. This journey will take about 7-8 hours.
  • Once you reach Udaipur, you will check into your lakeside resort.
  • In the evening, you will visit Lake Pichola. You can enjoy a romantic boat ride with the love of your life! Enjoy stunning sights of Jag Mandir and the City Palace. The scene is dreamy and filled with romance.
  • Go back to your resort for an overnight stay in Udaipur.

The next day is exploration, heritage, and romance. The Lake City promises never-before-seen experiences. Look forward to exploring places such as Udaipur’s City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari, Jag Mandir, Hathi Pol Bazaar, and more. You will feel like you are in scenes from the famous movie, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani!

  • Firstly, we will go to the City Palace. Here, you will find numerous courtyards and balconies that overlook Lake Pichola. The museum houses the royal attire of Udaipur’s late Maharajas. Apart from that, you will find a ton of miniature paintings.
  • From there, we will move to Saheliyon ki Bari. The garden was built for the royal ladies of the city to stroll in. Walk hand-in-hand with your loved one. Enjoy the enchantment of this popular tourist attraction. You will find dreamy fountains and shaded pavilions.
  • Afterwards, we will go to Jag Mandir. This is a small island palace, located on Lake Pichola. The boat ride to this destination is relaxing and peaceful. This would be an excellent time to take cinematic photos of your partner.

Today, you trade the lakes for hills and mountains. You will depart from Udaipur to reach Mount Abu. The city you will enter is the only hill station of Rajasthan.
